1. What does a typical day of boarding look like?

The day starts around 7:30 am.  All dogs are let out for a potty break, followed by breakfast.  The dogs retire to their suites from 8-10am for office hours.  At 10am the fun begins!  Every 20-40 minutes dogs are rotated into the daycare room/outside for playtime.  When dogs are on down time, they are let out every 2-4 hours for potty breaks.  At 3pm all dogs go back to their suites for office hours.  Dinner is served between 4:30-5:30. All dogs are let out for a post dinner potty break and last let out is between 9:30-11pm.

  1. What do I need to bring along for boarding?

The only requirement for boarding is food and proof of vaccines.  You are also welcome to bring any personal belongings that will make your dog’s stay more comfortable.  I.e. Bed, blankets, treats, toys etc.  We kindly ask that you leave your dog’s bowls at home as we would hate for them to get mixed up with the bowls we provide.

  1. What vaccines do you require for my dog?

We require Rabies and DHPP.  I do not require the Bordetella vaccine, although I would encourage you to research the vaccine and make an educated decision as to whether or not it would be good for your dog.

No, we welcome all breeds.

  1. Will my dog be allowed to interact with other dogs?

Yes!  We match dogs based on their size, temperament and play style.  All dogs will be evaluated with my personal dogs to see what group they will fit in with.  If you would not like your dog to interact with other dogs, no problem!  We will spend one on one time making sure they still have a great experience.

  1. My dog is on medication, is that an issue?

We would be happy to administer medications, as required, at no extra cost.

  1. Can I call you to see how my dog is doing?

Due to the nature of this business we aren’t always able to answer the phone.  We do, however, post frequent Facebook updates.  You are also welcome to send us an email to see how your dog is doing and we will get back to you at our earliest convenience.  Our priority is caring for our in house guests which sometimes limits our ability to get to technology!

  1. How far in advance do I have to book my dogs stay?

It is usually best to book when you know the dates you would like us to board your dog.  This helps avoid disappointment, if we don’t have the space available.  With that being said, we often have last minute space available, so do not hesitate to call even if it is the day of travel.

  1. What happens when a pet in your care needs veterinary care?

We do our absolute best to insure the safety and well being of your dog.  Our client info form has a “In Case of Emergency,” section that allows you to choose what you would like us to do in the event that your dog fell ill while in our care.  Our first response would be to contact you in the event of an emergency, followed by your list of emergency contacts.

  1. What is doggie daycare and what will my dog do during the day?

Dogs can be dropped off for daycare during our scheduled hours of operation or owners can make a specific appointment time outside of regular office hours to bring your dog.  Doggy daycare pick up and drop off times are fairly flexible.  Once your dog arrives he/she will go on down time until 10am.  At 10 am your dog will be rotated into playgroups every 20-40 minutes until 3pm.  All dogs are required to have some down time to ensure that they don’t over-exert themselves.   In the winter we do most of our play time inside, but in the summer we spend lots of time outside taking advantage of the kiddie pool and sprinkler!
