1. What does a typical day of boarding look like?

The day starts around 7:30 am.  All dogs are let out for a potty break, followed by breakfast.  The dogs retire to their suites from 8-10am for office hours.  At 10am the fun begins! All dogs are let out every 2-4 hours for potty breaks regardless of the boarding package you opt into.

SOCIAL BOARDING: Our social boarding guests are let out every 2-4 hours for social potty breaks/play time.

VIP BOARDING: If you’ve elected to have your dog attend VIP boarding they will get the ultimate social experience. All VIP boarding dogs are rotated into the daycare room/outside for playtime with our other VIP boarders and daycare dogs between the hours of 10am and 3pm with a brief break for lunch.

NON-SOCIAL BOARDING: Our non-social boarders are let out every 2-4 hours individually in our play/potty yards for some private time or one on one time.

At 3pm all dogs go back to their suites for office hours.  Dinner is served between 4:30-5:30. All dogs are let out for a post dinner potty break and last let out is between 9:30-11pm.

  1. What do I need to bring along for boarding?

The only requirement for boarding is food, a filled out Client Info Form and proof of vaccinations.  DUE TO COVID we are no longer accepting personal items. We kindly ask that you leave your dog’s bed, blankets, toys and bowls at home. We also ask that you take your leash with you when you leave.

No, we welcome all breeds.

  1. Will my dog be allowed to interact with other dogs?

Yes, so long as your dog is social and you opt for Social Boarding or VIP Boarding!  We match dogs based on their size, temperament and play style.  All dogs will be evaluated with my personal dogs to see what group they will fit in with.  If you would not like your dog to interact with other dogs, no problem!  We will spend one on one time making sure they still have a great experience with our Non-Social Boarding option.

  1. My dog is on medication, is that an issue?

We would be happy to administer medications, as required, at no extra cost.

  1. Can I call you to see how my dog is doing?

Due to the nature of this business we aren’t always able to answer the phone.  We do, however, post frequent Facebook updates.  You are also welcome to send us an email to see how your dog is doing and we will get back to you at our earliest convenience.  Our priority is caring for our in house guests which sometimes limits our ability to get to technology!

  1. How far in advance do I have to book my dogs stay?

It is usually best to book when you know the dates you would like us to board your dog.  This helps avoid disappointment, if we don’t have the space available.  With that being said, we often have last minute space available, so do not hesitate to call even if it is the day of travel.

  1. Do you provide pick up and drop off services?

Yes, please email info@delhidogspaw.com for rates and availability.

  1. Do you board puppies?

Yes, we do.  We require all puppy boarding clients to have at least one set of vaccinations prior to their stay.  This means that we are unable to board puppies before 8-10 weeks of age.  We do however recommend that puppies have 2 sets of vaccinations prior to boarding for their safety.

If you don’t cancel at all and your dog doesn’t come in, we charge the full amount of your dog’s intended stay.

  1. What happens when a pet in your care needs veterinary care?

We do our absolute best to insure the safety and well being of your dog.  Our client info form has a “In Case of Emergency,” section that allows you to choose what you would like us to do in the event that your dog dog was to fall ill while in our care.  Our first response would be to contact you in the event of an emergency, followed by your list of emergency contacts.

  1. What is doggy daycare and what will my dog do during the day?

Dogs can be dropped off for daycare during our scheduled hours of operation or owners can make a specific appointment time outside of regular office hours to bring your dog.  Doggy daycare pick up and drop off times are fairly flexible.  Once your dog arrives he/she will go on down time until 10am.  At 10 am we begin daycare where all VIP boarding guests and daycare dogs intermingle in our daycare room or outside. Our daycare is structured in a way that we make sure to advocate for insecure dogs, correct bullies and focus on healthy play. All dogs are required to have some down time to ensure that they don’t over-exert themselves so we usually take a 1hr break at lunch. In the winter we do most of our play time inside, but in the summer we spend lots of time outside taking advantage of the kiddie pool and sprinkler!
