Board & Train

Our intensive board and train program is a fantastic way to put a solid foundation on any dog (any age) and may also be the best way to start tackling more severe behavioural issues in your dog.  Dogs enrolled in the intensive board and train program will lodge with us in our home, receiving around the clock training.  While your dog stays with us they will work for all of their meals through both active and passive training.   The cost of this training starts at $125/night +HST.  Keep in mind that although we set the foundation for success, you will be required to maintain training once your dog comes home. As such, the pre-requisite for our Intensive Board and Train is the successful completion of Unit 1 of Training Dogs Online. This program will not only help you to get started training your dog, but will be the textbook and coaching system needed to maintain the training of your dog for life. 

 Dogs are very similar to humans in the fact that they need regular maintenance after undergoing behaviour modification.  In the same way a human who goes into a rehabilitation program must continue following healthy new habits to ensure they do not relapse, we must enforce healthy habits with our dog to ensure they do not revert back to their old behaviours.  Quite often dogs will try to revert back to their old ways when they come back into their old environment, testing their boundaries in the same way they did before.  Not to worry, we will provide you with the tools and information so that you and your dog are sure to succeed.  In a nutshell, our board and train service tackles the hard job of training your dog to live a healthier and more balanced life and allows you to bring them home with a new set of skills easily up-kept by routine training and maintenance.  As an added bonus, all of our intensive board and train programs come with lifetime support.

Included in our Intensive B & T program:  

• Training Equipment: Training Leash & Food Pouch (Place Cot & E-collar are extra, but not required) 
• Lodging in our home to ensure around the clock intensive training 
• 2-5 active training sessions per day
• 2 Private Sessions (One “Go-Home” Full Session at the conclusion of training and One “Follow-Up” Half Session to be used 6 months from the end of training) **Extra private sessions are available at an additional but discounted fee.** 
• Minimum 2 week intensive training program 
• Video footage of the training process 
• Free access to Training Dogs Online, our lifetime membership online training and coaching program.

 Our basic board and train option includes all of the perks of our regular social boarding service while also including obedience and marker training for our guest.  The cost of this program is $75/night +HST.  Dogs enrolled in our basic board and train lodge in our boarding facility and work for all of their meals while they stay with us.  Depending on the dog’s work ethic this could be 1-3 sessions per day.  This option allows us to build a solid foundation for training, charging a language that you will be able to speak with your dog for the rest of their life.  Although this option is great for starting to build a foundation or maintain training for previous training clients, this option is not suitable for counter conditioning unwanted behaviour. For behaviour modification we recommend enrolling your dog in our intensive board and train.

• Lodging in our 2400 sq ft boarding facility
