Please contact us if you cannot find an answer to your question.
The day starts at 7-10am, all dogs are let out for a potty break, followed by breakfast. The dogs retire to their suites from 8-10am for office hours. At 10am the office is closed and the fun begins! All dogs are let out every 2-4 hours for potty breaks/play time regardless of the boarding package you opt into.
SOCIAL BOARDING: Our social boarding guests are let out every 2-4 hours for social potty breaks/play time.
VIP BOARDING: If you’ve elected to have your dog attend VIP boarding, they will get the ultimate social experience (provided they pass the VIP social assessment, not all social dogs are a fit for daycare!). All VIP boarding dogs are rotated into the daycare room/outside for playtime with our other VIP boarders and daycare dogs between the hours of 10am and 3pm, with a brief break for lunch!
NON-SOCIAL BOARDING: Our non-social boarders are let out every 2-4 hours individually in our play/potty yards for some private time, or one on one time with staff members.
At 3pm all dogs go back to their suites for office hours. Dinner is served between 4:30-5:30. All dogs are let out for a post dinner potty break at 6pm and the last let out is between 9-10pm.
All we need for boarding is your dog's food, the leash/collar/harness they are walked in on, a filled out Client Info Form (see bottom of this page) and a copy of their current Certificate of Vaccination (invoices from the vet are not accepted!). We provide bowls, water pails, blankets/bedding, and every kennel has a raised Kuranda bed already set up. That said, we are now accepting some personal belongings once again, within reason! If you want to bring your pup's favourite blanket, toy, or bed (of a reasonable size), we can take them. Just be aware that while our staff do their best to ensure everyone is comfortable in their kennels, there is always a chance their belongings could get dirty, soiled, chewed/ripped, etc. during their stay. If we notice any destructive behaviour or a dog is prone to frequent accidents, the items will be removed at our discretion.
We require Rabies and DHPP. We do not require the Bordetella vaccine, however we would encourage you to research the vaccine and make an educated decision as to whether or not it would be good for your dog. We do accept valid titers in lieu of an up to date vaccination certificate.
Pick up and drop off times are between 8-10am and 3-5pm all days except Sunday. We are only open 3-5pm on Sundays. Daycare pick up and drop off times are by appointment 363 days of the year (Closed Christmas & Boxing Day).
We can sometimes accommodate drop offs and pick ups outside of the posted hours, however we do have an “Outside of Office Hours Fee” of $25+HST and you must confirm the arrangements with one of our staff members in advance. Please do not show up outside of our office hours without an appointment time that has been confirmed by email, it is very disruptive to the dogs and routine!
We are located at 1550 Highway 3, Delhi, ON N4B2W6. We are half way between Delhi and Courtland on the south side of Highway 3. Our business driveway is just west of the personal driveway. There is a parking lot behind the white barn.
Dogs can be dropped off for daycare during our scheduled hours of operation or owners can make a specific appointment time outside of regular office hours to bring your dog (based on availability of staff). Once your dog arrives he/she will be crated in our daycare room for down time until 10am.
The daycare fun happens between 10am and 3pm daily, with a one hour nap time scheduled for lunch. While at daycare, the dogs spend the day socializing in our indoor 800 square foot daycare/training area, with frequent adventures outdoors in our various play yards for potty and play, always depending on weather of course. Our daycare crew can really stretch their legs in "The Barking Lot," our 1/2 acre fenced daycare and training space that can be seen from the parking lot!
Daycare is always supervised and structured. We advocate for those who are on the timid side to help build confidence and slow down the ones with big personalities and lots of energy to ensure everyone has an enjoyable time! Your dog is sure to come home exhausted. In the winter we do most of our play time inside when it's too cold for the pups, but in the summer we spend lots of time outside taking advantage of the green grass, kiddie pool, and sprinkler!
We accept payment via cash, Email Money Transfers or Credit Card.
Payment is required prior to or at pick up for boarding, daycare and grooming. Invoices for boarding stays are typically sent out the day before your scheduled pick up, and before noon for daycare and grooming.
Payment for training is due in full prior to the commencement of services. E-transfers are our preferred method of payment.

Yes, absolutely. We have a fridge and freezer on site. We do not charge extra for special diets. We can provide food, however there is a $5 fee per meal to feed our dog’s food (Orijen or Acana) or our in house raw diet which is charged at $2.50/lb.
We would be happy to administer medications, as required, at no extra cost. If your dog is on medication or has other medical needs, please inform us in advance and provide detailed instructions prior to your dog staying with us, so we can ensure they receive the care they need!
Yes, we do. They stay in the “cat condo” in Melissa's home in their own private bedroom away from all other animals. Email info@delhidogspaw.com for more information or availability.

No, we welcome all breeds and have extensive experience with most!
We do not require dogs to be altered. However, intact males over the age of 1 year will be subject to the Non-Social Boarding rate with the exception of passing a social assessment by our trained staff members.
We are able to board dogs in heat, however we do have an additional fee of $15+HST per night.
Yes, so long as your dog has passed our social assessment (conducted during an "Assessment Day" prior to boarding or on the first day of their stay) and you opted for Social Boarding or VIP Boarding! We match dogs based on their size, temperament and play style. All dogs will be evaluated with our resident dogs first to assess comfort levels and to see what group they will fit in with. The Dog’s Paw is a constant revolving door of different breeds, ages, and play styles, so if we are unable to customize a safe and enjoyable group for any select social reservation client, our Non-social boarding fee will be applied.
If you would not like your dog to interact with other dogs, no problem! We will spend one on one time making sure they still have a great experience with our Non-Social Boarding option.
Due to the nature of this business we aren’t always able to answer the phone. We do, however, post frequent Facebook updates. You are also welcome to send us an email to see how your dog is doing and we will get back to you at our earliest convenience. Our priority is caring for our in house guests which sometimes limits our ability to get to technology!
It is usually best to book when you know the dates you would like us to board your dog. This helps avoid disappointment, if we don’t have the space available. With that being said, we often have last minute space available, so do not hesitate to check online for availability through our Pawfinity booking service.
Please note our summer months (June-September) fill up quite fast, particularly weekends and especially long weekends. These dates can book full 1-2 months in advance.
On a limited basis, please email info@delhidogspaw.com for rates and availability.
Yes, we do. We require all puppy boarding clients to have at least one set of vaccinations prior to their stay. This means that we are unable to board puppies before 8-10 weeks of age. We do however recommend that puppies have 2 sets of vaccinations prior to boarding for their safety!
We do our absolute best to ensure the safety and well being of your dog. Our client info form has a “In Case of Emergency,” section that allows you to choose what you would like us to do in the event that your dog were to fall ill while in our care. Our first response would be to contact you in the event of an emergency, followed by your list of emergency contacts.
Our cancellation policy is as follows:
If you cancel a reservation more than 7 day in advance of your dog’s intended arrival, there is no charge.
If you cancel a reservation less than 3 days in advance, we charge a cancellation fee of 50% of what your invoice would have been, with a minimum charge of $75+HST.
If you don’t cancel at all and your dog doesn’t come in, we charge the full amount of your dog’s intended stay.
We offer private one on one training, puppy classes, group classes as well as board and train services. Visit our Training page for more information or email info@delhidogspaw.com today to set up a consultation!
